A million thoughts per minute!

So the last week was spent on intensive thinking on what to do with my acceptance to Grad School and to potentially move to New York City. I was so nervous to tell my family and hear their thoughts that I did not even tell them I got accepted to school until this past Monday (I knew I got accepted Thanksgiving weekend). They knew I was applying to jobs all over the States since July, but I have not updated them with my plans for the last few months. I kept silent and discussed my future plans with friends. Some said "GO FOR IT!", some friends said "BUT IT IS SO FAR!AND CALI HAS AMAZING WEATHER!".

My first initial reaction was my lord this might actually be happening and I completely freaked up.I thought to myself, but what if I hate it. I do not want to leave my friends and maybe I might get a job in LA in the meantime. But then I realized- wait a second here: it is not thaaat far, my friends will always be my friends regardless of where I live and that potential job that I have been hoping for in LA since JULY is not happening! So what do I really have to lose?

Finally I told my parents about Graduate School and their response: DO IT! To my surprise they were super supportive. They said that I am only young once, no major attachments, my current job is falling apart, give Graduate School a shot and worse case scenario I come back, lose possibly a couple thousand in tuition and rent, but at least I know I tried! And what is a couple thousand $$ compared to the REST OF MY LIFE?! Nothing really if you think about it.My dad said if all else fails you had a vacation in NYC for a few months =) While my brothers were overall supportive, but then preceded to call me Paris Hilton and stated that their little sister is always choosing the most extravagant cities to live in: SF, Los Angeles and now NYC! Spoiled brat, right?! ;)

So what I am trying to say is that I am 90% sure I am moving to the East Coast! I am still waiting for my loan applications so there is a slight chance I might have a loan issue stopping me from moving, but so far it looks like it is a GO!

Now, I know some of you may think I am crazy to leave stunning California! Do not get me wrong here I will ALWAYS be a California girl!I was born and raised in Cali with a Polish upbringing! I will never be a true New Yorker. I have accepted that!I am not thick skinned, but that is what I hope to gain from this experience.I wanna come back stronger, but sincere. And keep in mind friends there is a 50/50 chance I will be crawling on my knees and begging Cali to forgive me that I left!Regardless if I live in NYC for a few years or come back as quick as I left, I ask for your support! And I am thanking you for your support now and understanding me even if you do not fully agree!I know I have talked/emailed some of you about this so I thank you for all your advice. I really adore all of you for it!It is because of your support I push myself harder everyday to be the best person I can be!

For some a decision to pack their bags and move takes 2 seconds...as you all know it has taken me two years to make a change! It just happens to be so that opportunity is currently knocking on my door (Grad School and a potential job through my brother) and I have decided to take it.What I am exactly doing to be honest with you I don't really know. But I am taking a chance! I do not feel super financially stable, but through school loans, a "few bucks" that I have saved and the hope of finding any kind of job quickly (except being a skank for money.haha) makes me think all will be OK.Plus it doesn't hurt that I am moving with one of my bestie's Demi and another friend (Leah)might join in March!

So wish me luck because this single, soon to be Graduate student, Cali girl is taking a leap and taking a big bite of the Big Apple! Ok, maybe just a tiny nibble ;)
