Interesting week to say the least!

So I have been slightly MIA with my blogs the last week, but def. a lot has happened. It is interesting how ones life can change so much so quickly.

So lets begin with this past weekend. My lovely and stunning Anya L. came to visit the Bay since she moved in June (bitch!!). We had a crazy weekend filled with boozing it up, eating yummy Thai food and just simply being crazy! We talked endless hours about so many things. This is one thing I love about her-we click so well and convos are never-ending when we sit down. I still miss not having Anya in the Bay. Every time I pass by Berkeley, which is pretty much daily I think of her!Although this past weekend was so darn cold I could not believe it. Combo of drinking and huge drop in temperature as led me to this nasty cold, but what can you do but fight it off and receive a bunch of sympathy hugs from mommy =)




Unfortunately,one of my really good friend's from HS lost her father to lung cancer early Monday morning. The man was a trooper who fought for two strong years with this awful disease! I immediately yelled at my smoking brothers to quite their ugly habit! It is definitely hard seeing a close friend go through something so unbelievably dramatic. The only thing I can do is just be there. This stupid cold has slightly prohibited staying with her longer because all I want to do is pass out, but I hope she can feel the support at least a little bit. Thank goodness Priyam is able to devout her time and help.What would all of us do without Pri Pri? She is just a little brown (Indian) angel walking this earth =)Also, this makes you really think how short life really is. We say this all the time, but to actually experience a close death really hits you hard and gives you chills. I swear I could not sleep the last few days thinking about all of this.Makes my stupid little problems feel even smaller.

I got rejected from NYU-booooo! No surprise there! I think I am dealing with a lot of competition, especially now. Plus it is NYU and we all know I am not a genius, although stupid I am not as well =) My grades I felt were strong, but I guess I was missing something.I just have to see what Baruch College will say.If I do not get into any Grad Schools to be honest I am not sure what I am going to do next!

My job is getting more and more intense. I was required to fill out a job application, pee in a cup and go through background screenings for a position that I have already been in for TWO years! Unfort. the whole company is dealing with the same issue. We were bought out by BlueCross BlueShield of SC and who knows what they will do with us next. Stressful times to say the least and kind of not knowing what is going on is super frustrating.

I received the wedding invitation for Gaya's wedding in India! Still breaks my heart that I cannot attend since she is one of the most amazing people I have met to date! But I am happy that she met the love of her life=) That is all a friend could want for their bestie! Congrats Gaya and Nirmal!
